54’ Steel Bruce Roberts Sloop

-         Name:  Maravida

-         Year:  1984

-         Hull Material:  Steel

-         Engine:  Single Diesel

Maravida is an extremely stable family cruising boat. Reefing is only necessary if winds exceed 25 knots. Steel structure gives peace of mind.  Cruised throughout the Caribbean in the last three years and previously cruised by former owners to North Africa and Europe.  Her sugar scoop allows easy onboard access and a nice platform for swimming and outdoor showering.  The huge back deck easily holds the 3 year old 11 ˝ foot aluminum AB dinghy lengthwise, with lots of room to spare.

Maravida has a stout conservatively canvassed rig paired with a stable hull. This makes for great, low-stress sailing. Low aspect ratio wing keel makes Maravida directionally stable without the difficult maneuvering challenges of a full length keel. She keeps her heading well under sail or motor.
